The Watson Animal Half Rack / Four Way Smith combines two of our most popular pieces of equipment into one compact, incredibly heavy-duty system.
Use it as a Half Rack for squats, presses, rows and all your other major compound lifts. Or use the Four-Way Smith for a little more control and security when training hard.
And when you want to use the Half Rack, simply slide the Smith bar completely out of the way.

The Four-Way Smith is what really sets this combination apart. Instead of forcing the bar to travel in a fixed vertical path like a conventional Smith machine, the Watson system uses linear bearings to allow the bar to move forwards and backwards as well as up and down.
Simply engage the locking collars and the horizontal movement is removed, giving you a fixed vertical Smith. So you get the freedom of a four-way Smith when you want it, and the stability of a fixed Smith when you don't.
The Half Rack itself is built for heavy training.
Ultra-close hole spacing allows you to position the safety bars and lift-off hooks exactly where you need them, while the quick-adjust design makes changing between exercises fast and straightforward. There's also plenty of room to move between the rack and Smith, so you're not constantly working around the machine.
Add the optional pull-up configuration that suits your training and you've got a remarkably versatile setup for a huge range of compound movements.
