Louie Simmons is a revered name in strength and conditioning, renowned for his inventive training methodologies and decades‑long career in powerlifting. He was best known as the founder of Westside Barbell, an exclusive, invitation‑only training facility in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Louie revolutionised powerlifting by developing the Conjugate Method, a system designed to eliminate physical plateaus. By meticulously analysing biomechanics, he identified specific weaknesses – often in the posterior chain – that hindered maximal lifts.
Simmons replaced traditional linear periodisation with a rotating cycle of specialised exercises targeting these underdeveloped muscle groups. Through his work at Westside Barbell, he helped world-class athletes build a foundation of strength that was both scientifically optimised and remarkably durable. Today his legacy lives on through the continuation of his methods and the innovative equipment that drives them.

When placed directly with our sales team, orders over £2,000 GBP can be made with a 25% deposit, with the final payment due before shipping.
Orders under £2,000 GBP require payment in full upfront.
In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your order, you have 14 days from receiving delivery to return your goods to us for a refund.
If you have had customisation applied to your products, a return for a refund is not possible.
