The best push-up stands I have ever used and even seen. Shipping and taxes to Germany were quite expensive, but the product is well worth it. As others have mentioned, they are surprisingly large, but that is actually a good thing. They are SOLID and I love training with them 🙂 The color and look and feel matches the Barbarian Line power rack at home nicely, I am very pleased.

This review is based off of owning and using these extensively over the past few months, as a home gym trainee.

At first I maybe felt they were a bit of an indulgent purchase, but am very glad now I got them. Regardless of why you are, or want to, include Push Ups in your training, these stands are an unbeatable investment and will make them a much better exercise. There is one comparison only between these and the common stands you will see for £9.99 online or in a catalogue- and that is the size. Like parking a Monster Truck next to a Nissan Micra.
They are welded box and tube section, obviously solidly constructed and robust enough to endure a lifetime of training, whether its yourself or multiple users. Unlike the £9.99 alternative, they will not loosen up, buckle, wobble etc etc.
As far as portability goes, they may not fit in your suitcase, but if you are looking to train your push ups/chest while travelling- in Hotels with work, or visting family etc, you can take them with you, as I have done. And they are not overly heavy, maybe 2 or 3 kg each?

As far as my own work outs with these, I change the postioning of them every set, or every few sets. Something which is effortless, unlike training on a bench press set up. Try wide, mid or narrow, parallel, straight, in at 45deg, out at 45deg, or 30deg, etc etc, any way you like. I sometimes even place the heel of my palm on the square section at the front.
You can just slide them a few inches this way or that, to find what works best for you, or is most comfortable. They are very versatile as an accessory, or main lift. And becasue they are thick bars, they are obviously comfortable to press off of, illeviating pressure on the wrists, hands etc. In addition to this, I train a lot of thick bar grip work, such as Inch Dumbbell training etc and Watson kindly made them for me with a 2.5″ diameter bar so they compliment my specialist thick bar training too.

Hope this helps someone with their decision. I personally don’t regret buying them for a moment.

An excellent “small” piece that punches above its weight. Simply the best push up stands. They are SOLID. You can trust them 100% and not hold anything back the way you might be tentative with wimpy equipment. Once they are in place, you forget they are even there and you can focus on the exercise. The thick grip handles make a big difference; with comfortable hands it’s easier to focus more on technique and on contracting the big muscles. I added some little rubber feet from the hardware store to use on a smooth floor (it would be nice if this came as an option, but it only took 2 minutes). It’s probably best to use a rubber mat or add rubber feet like I did if you intend to use them on a hard floor. Overall, they have exceeded my expectations, and I expect them to last forever. Don’t hesitate, you will be very satisfied.

These push up stands are simply the best ive had by far…had loads of different ones with foam grips rubber etc…all of them will start cutting into your palms after a reps.

These are perfect in the sense they let you fully concentrate on the movement and engage your muscles to their fullest. Admittedly they are heavy and big. However they will last a lifttime and thensome. Handstand push ups on these are a joy to do because of the depth. You can also perform sitting dips with legs raised of the floor. A little secret because they are sooo heavy you can curls to warm up and front and side lateral raises to with them. I do this as i travel with mine in the boot of my car. So they are very versatile durable and effective.

What more do you want….well apart from these being the best things since sliced bread watsons delivery time was awful…they took 8 weeks!!!! Because of back orders and the fact they are built to order.
To their credit they kept me informed via email about the progress and were apologetic even though gave them loads of stick for it. So job well done watson your products are s*** hot! Just sort your delivery times out! Thank you

I’m somewhat of an equipment connoisseur and I must say that these pushup handles are both aesthetically pleasing and perfectly functional. They are extremely well-crafted and arrived in perfect condition with the crates they were shipped in being about as heavy-duty as they come without the shipping price to the US actually reflecting that. I own at least four other types of pushup stands ranging from the P90X pushup stands back when they were made out of metal, the Perfect Pushup stands, and other lesser-known stands and these easily top them all. Due to the height of the stands they are capable of providing you with a deep, but not too strenuous, range of motion. My pecs, shoulders, and tris were fried after a few sets. Although I haven’t tried them for handstand pushups, the extra height will definitely make these a favorite for anyone interested in that style of pushup.

These are well-made, and crucially, well thought out stands.

First of all, they’re large. Think the size two shoe boxes high, and in length, longer than that. This allows for an enhanced range of motion, unlike doing the exercise without stands. And if you’re thinking high street push up stands offer this extra range of motion, you’re wrong. These are far superior.

Secondly – the point of contact – that’s where your hands wrap around the bar, is extremely comfortable. This is due to the broad dimensions of the metal used. It’s like scaffolding, but smoothly finished. On exercises where your grip is a limiting factor, e.g. pull-ups, a thick bar isn’t comfortable for everyone, and despite the hype, makes the exercise less effective. But in exercises where you’re ‘pushing’ against something, it’s very, very useful. The wider bar takes pressure off your palms, allowing you to be pain free. When you don’t have any awareness of pressure in your palms, you put all your concentration where it needs to be: on the working muscles. Trust me, this one factor will allow you to work your chest or triceps extremely hard. Without the thick bar, there’s always going to be some pain. After all, push-ups have a guaranteed minimum ‘weight’ of half to two-thirds of your bodyweight.

To top it all off, the stands have excellent welds, and are perfectly level. These stands are clearly designed by people who actually train. Like the best gyms with gym owners who work out, you’re guaranteed great equipment.

Forget the rest, these are the best.
