The Watson Thick Grip Stubby Bar is perfect for thick bar training when space is limited.

These bars have a total length of 1350 mm (4' 4''), making them ideal for a huge range of exercises such as floor presses, curls, tricep extensions, military presses, bent rows, etc.

The Watson Thick Grip Stubby Bars will handle over 700 kg and carry our usual lifetime warranty.

Training with thick bars doesn't just build huge grip and forearm strength, and it greatly reduces elbow and shoulder strain.

Available in 2'' thickness.
These are great, space-efficient thick bars that you will want to replace all your regular barbell work with.

      With limited space to train at home, I thought that it would be quite some time before I could add some think bars to my training mix. Thanks to these compact gems from Watson Gym Equipment I don’t have to wait any longer.

      I was very impressed with my Watson EZ curl bar so I decided to pick up a thick grip stubby bar. Very glad I did! I got the 2″ version with revolving sleeves and my wrists are quite happy. The sleeves rotate very smoothly and have virtually eliminated wrist soreness I was battling whenever I did straight bar thick grip curls. I also love this bar for military presses. The build quality of this bar is second to none, well done Watson!

      This bar was purchased for a relatively unusual purpose. Using it with Spud Inc. Swing Set straps, I have configured a poor man’s yoke. The bar is beautifully made with amazing attention to detail. The craftsmanship is absolutely flawless. Packaging was superb and it reached the US undamaged. This was my first purchase from Watson’s and it will not be the last. Recommended without reservation. Well done Watson’s. Well done.

      I purchased the 2 inch version of the bar. This was something of an impulse buy, Having recently read an article on thick grip training. I didn’t want another 7 foot bar in my gym and at just under 5 feet this bar does not take up too much room.
      This bar is pretty light at 7 kg, but as soon as I opened the box, I knew that this strongly engineered bar can handle more weight than I could ever hope to lift.
      After using the bar for about a month, I think that I’m now in a position to praise the benefits of training with a thick bar. I am extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend this great little bar.

    • All shipments will be sent on a tail-lift truck unless otherwise stated.
    • VAT is charged at point of order.
    • Curbside delivery on a tail-lift truck (unless otherwise stated). Some larger kit may require a forklift; our sales team will advise if this is needed.
    • It will be your responsibility to move the pallet from the curbside into your address. We would recommend having extra people to help move the kit into your premises

    • You will be provided a Tracking Number.
