Introducing the all-new Watson Animal Converging Standing Chest Press.
Innovating on the enormously popular original Iso Standing Chest Press, this standing chest press machine has been upgraded for enhanced biomechanics and training effectiveness. Hugely adjustable and accessible for a multitude of users, this space-efficient machine packs a huge range of pressing movements into a compact footprint.
Featuring fully independent arms, the Animal Converging Standing Chest Press allows you to train unilaterally, and avoid muscle imbalances caused by bilateral machines.
The adjustable handles can be positioned through a range of heights depending on the user. They glide smoothly along stainless steel uprights, delivering both durability, and a premium aesthetic that doesn’t degrade over time. The handle position has been redesigned, sitting closer to the centre, behind the movement arms, with a choice of both horizontal and 45-degree grips. The parallel handles can be positioned either outside or inside the uprights, depending on whether you prefer a wide or narrow press. Removing and reversing the handles gives a total of 6 different grip positions from one machine, for endless training variety and muscle activation.
The movement pattern converges, bringing the arms together toward the centre. This enhancement increases chest engagement, providing maximum tension and a peak contraction at the top of the movement. Combined with a natural drop-off in resistance, this also allows for overloading in the lengthened position of the muscle.
A standout feature of this machine is the foot release system, which makes it incredibly easy to get in and out of the machine - a huge plus for larger users or those with shoulder injuries, impingements or limited joint mobility.
How does it work? It’s simple and effective:
- Step into the machine and press forward - this automatically disengages the foot pedal, allowing the arms to move back beyond the start position.
- After your set, press forward again and press the foot pedal down. This brings the safety bars forward, catching the arms in the original position so you can exit the machine safely and comfortably.
The foot pedal is located on the left-hand side, creating a clear and open design, making entry and exit smooth - without having to step over multiple components.
Finally, the machine boasts a compact footprint - a crucial feature for any facility. Whether you're working with a large gym or a more confined space, smart space usage is key. We’ve packed all the features you need into a space-efficient design. Plates load from the rear inside of the machine, meaning no loading pins stick out, allowing for safe, easy loading without compromising on capacity.
