Want a safe, effective way to work the Overhead Squat and Loads more besides?

The Delrade Bar is excellent for two reasons: Not only has it been ergonomically designed for effective and safe overhead squatting (1), but it is also very universal and multifunctional for pretty much any other lifts, movements or exercises one can think of (2):

  • Bent-Over Row
    •

  • Shoulder / Military Press
    •

  • Bench Press
    •

  • Bench Triceps Press
    •

  • Lying Pull-over
    •

  • Back / Front Squat
    •

  • Any Deadlift
    •

  • Back / Front Lunge
    •

  • Clean and Jerk
    •

  • and many other lifts and movements.
    •

A trainee doesn’t need any other bar to effectively strength train the whole body.
Overhead squatting, specifically, is an essential training tool for everything from initial movement screening, improving biomechanics and flexibility up, to mastering Olympic lifting technique and performance.

The bar was created to overcome the main problem occurring when overhead squatting. When done with a traditional straight bar, wrists are put in a highly stressful position, causing strain and pain. This is a result of holding the bar above the head with a wide grip. However, using a wide grip is the correct way to execute this exercise.

Therefore, to overcome this issue, Delrade has developed a new and innovative ergonomic bar which allows your wrists to sit in a comfortable and stress-free position, eliminating wrist injury by spreading the weight and pressure evenly across the wrist, leaving you to focus on your training goals. Please see the video for a demonstration.

1 review for Delrade Overhead Squat Bar

    1. Joe –

My wrists used to always hurt when lifting and sometimes the discomfort would cause me to break a set.

Now the only thing stopping me is adding extra weight and doing more reps. In a few weeks I have added extra weight to my lifts and with no pain or discomfort.

I feel sorry for anyone still using a traditional Olympic bar as you don’t realise how bad it is until you try this!

The bar is also very heavy duty and hard wearing. I think it is of a very high quality and it will really last!

Best push-up stands on the market. Solid as you'd expect, very smooth action, and the thicker grip is very comfortable. Worth the money as I'm sure they'll last very well.

As much as I have enjoyed using the Heavy Hammer by IronMind, I'd long wanted a thick-grip leverage bar that fit Olympic plates. Watson Gym Equipment comes through again with a product with a degree of versatility.

Excellent build quality and attention to detail. I am currently using the loading pin as part of a home gym pulley machine for loading Olympic plates. Highly recommended.
