A chest press machine that's better than dumbbells?
Chest press machines are a fantastic addition to any big chest session – there's no doubting that.
But you don't have to look far to find an army of purists who will insist that machines simply cannot substitute a free bar or dumbbell press.
And, to be honest, we'd have probably agreed – until now…
The isolation of a chest press machine is great for your pecs.
But the micro-adjustments and extra stability needed for bench pressing a bar or dumbbells are what makes it such a great compound movement.
With free weights, you bring in your arms, shoulders and core, as well as just your pecs.
However, if you're training alone or you're new to lifting, you'll probably struggle to get the most out of heavy free weights sessions and run the risk of injury as well.
With that in mind, we set about developing our latest plate-loaded chest machine – The Free Motion Chest Press.
The Free Motion Chest Press is designed to simulate pressing with dumbbells as closely as possible.
We achieve this by combining independent iso-lateral arms with fully rotating handles, offering you complete control throughout the entire movement – just like a dumbbell press.
The range of movement you get with this machine engages the same stabilising muscles in your shoulders, arms and chest that you would work with a free weight press.
The Free Motion Chest Press also comes with extra thick 50mm handles and longer loading pins - meaning that even the strongest guys and girls can use this machine and still be comfortable.
So, if you like the sound of a chest press machine that can finally achieve the same compound benefits of bench pressing, hit the link below to find out more of the specifics, including customisation, finance and our unbeatable lifetime warranty!
Watson Free Motion Chest Press is a plate-loaded machine which gives total control throughout the movement.
It's designed to simulate the free movement of a dumbbell press which uses more stabilising muscles in the triceps, chest and shoulders to control the weight.
Rotating Handles
The revolving handles on these machines allow you to choose the perfect grip. You can have the angle of your grip to any chosen position... Or move the angle of your grip (rotate the handles) through the movement to get a deeper stretch and a more intense contraction.
Fully Adjustable Seat
With a lot of machines having a good amount of adjustability is key to allowing it suits perfectly to a wide range of biomechanics.
This machine, as an adjustable seat, will enable you to line up the handles correctly depending on your height.
It also has forward and back seat adjustments so you can choose your desired range of movement.
The machine also has an adjustment on the top half of the back pad... this allows you to change the angle you are pressing at.
Loading Pin Space
This machines not only has plenty of usable loading pin space, so you can ensure you cater for even the strongest members.
It also has 4 weight storage pins, so you don't need to walk around the gym or facility to find the plates you need for this machine.
50MM Thick Handles
We have put thick grip handles on this machine to make the feeling extremely comfortable even when pressing large amounts of weight.
The fatter grips don't dig into your hands.
ISO Lateral Arms
Independent arms allow the ability to work one pec at a time or both together. Having iso lateral arms on this machines means you don't compensate with your stronger/preferred side.
This is also a great feature for rehabilitation if you have had an injury.
As always, this machine is backed by our Watson Lifetime Warranty!
